Ebikebina attended catholic primary school in Offa in Kwara State and later continued at St. James primary school Sabo-oke in Ilorn in present day Kwara state of Nigeria from 1958 to 1964 when he left for Sacred heart minor seminary Akure in Ondo state from 1964 to 1969 and from there to SS Peter and Pauls major seminary Ibaden from 1970 to 1976.
He joined the Dominican priesthood order and was sent to the University of Dakar , Senegal where he read French language and civilisation from 1975 to 76 and the on to Mali for his pastoral duties where he met his wife Josette, they married in Ibaden in 1978.
He studied at the Institute Catholic d'Afrique de L'Quest Abijan in Cote dIvoire where he received a Licentiate (M.Phil)degree in Social Science and Religious studies
